Since April 1993, Young Inspirers of Lucknow have been working towards promotion of health in the urban and rural areas. They have proved that if given a chance, adolescents and youth can conceptualize, organize and conduct innovative and meaningful activities for creating awareness on health and development issues. In November 1996 Young Inspirers formed their own NGO which was registered as Indian Institute of Young Inspirers (IIYI). It is an Institute managed by young people. During the years 2000-2003, the members of IIYI received international fellowships and reorganized the Institute by introducing Entertainment Education Resource Centre, Publication & Material Development Centre and Awareness Generation & Capacity Building Centre.
Now the Institute is providing services to Health and Development sector on the following:
1. IEC/BCC and Training Tool Development
2. Capacity Building on health and development issues
3. Campaign Designing
4. Non-profit Sector and Financial Management
IIYI has excelled in conceptualization and development of entertainment education materials (magic, board games, puppets, ventriloquism etc.). They have conducted several training programs on use of these materials in health education and development activities. The Entertainment Education Resource Centre established by IIYI in Lucknow, India is the first of its kind and has been visited and appreciated by many eminent experts and organizations working in the field of health and development.
Our Aim

To give opportunities to young people under which they can enhance and enrich their skills as well as knowledge towards better quality of life and educate and counsel others on issues related to health and relationships.

To involve and train young people in designing, implementation and evaluation of health education programs.

The IIYI team is a group of individuals from various backgrounds dedicated to a common goal that is creativity and innovation in health and development sector for sustainable growth. Our creative and enthusiastic team comprises leading Gynecologists, Public Health Experts, Trained Social Workers, Gender Specialists, Chartered Accountant, Journalists, Graphic Designers, Magicians, Puppeteers, Script Writers and Theatre Artists.
